Here’s something my co-author BJ Gallagher and wrote to the last President. Hope we don’t have to write another to the next one.

Speaking of Presidents, in this piece, originally a Brain Slam, I muse on the wisdom of Richard Nixon.

Here’s another political piece, an address I gave at Hanamatsuri (a celebration of the birth of the Buddha) in 2003. The long-planned theme of the celebration that year was “Peace and Harmony,” but we happened to invade Iraq a few weeks before the event. That provoked me to articulate the Buddhist roots of my near-pacifism. Make yourself a pot of tea; this one is long.

Finally, something purely Buddhist (if purity is a proper adjective to attach to Buddhism), on emptiness and form as I see them every day.
